Shipper Obligations
By tendering a shipment to FFGL, you agree and warrant that:
- You are the owner or authorized agent of the owner of the goods being shipped
- All goods are accurately described — including content, value, and weight — on the waybill or booking form
- The shipment does not contain any items prohibited or restricted under Indian law, IATA/ICAO regulations, or our courier partners' terms (see Prohibited Items below)
- All packaging is adequate to protect the goods and ensure safe handling during transit
- All required documentation is in place, including GST e-way bills for applicable consignments under the GST Acts (CGST/IGST/SGST/UTGST)
- Cold chain shipments are pre-declared and comply with all applicable temperature, labeling, and regulatory requirements
- You will not tender any shipment that misrepresents its content, value, or nature
FFGL reserves the right to refuse, open, or inspect any shipment without assigning reasons, consistent with the rights exercised by our courier partners under their own terms of carriage.
Prohibited and Restricted Items
FFGL and its courier partners will not carry the following:
- Hazardous materials, explosives, or dangerous goods as classified by IATA, ICAO, or any applicable Indian regulatory body
- Animals (live or dead), human remains
- Firearms, ammunition, or parts thereof
- Currency, bearer instruments, bullion, or negotiable securities
- Precious metals or stones (uninsured)
- Narcotics, illegal drugs, or controlled substances

A detailed list of restricted items is available on request and is also available on our courier partners' websites (www.bluedart.com, www.trackoncourier.com, www.delhivery.com). FFGL assumes no liability for shipments found to contain prohibited items, and the Shipper shall indemnify FFGL against all penalties, actions, or proceedings arising therefrom.
Pricing and Payment
All quoted rates are custom and based on shipment type, route, weight, and volume. The following apply to all billing:
- Shipment charges are calculated on the higher of actual weight or volumetric weight (Length × Width × Height in cm ÷ 5000 for air; 1 cu.ft = 10 kg for surface). Re-weighing and re-measurement may occur at any point during transit
- Quoted prices are exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. Applicable GST will be charged as per prevailing Indian tax law
- GST, customs duties, warehousing charges, and other statutory levies are to be borne by the Shipper or Consignee as applicable and are not included in standard freight charges
- Demurrage charges of ₹2.50 per kg per day (minimum ₹100) apply for shipments stored beyond 5 days due to non-delivery or refusal of delivery by the Consignee
- FFGL reserves the right to revise rates. Any revision will be communicated to account clients in advance
- FFGL has a right of lien on shipments for any outstanding freight or charges. Shipments will not be released until all dues are settled
Limitation of Liability
FFGL acts as a channel partner and logistics coordinator. The liability for loss, damage, or delay to shipments in transit is governed by the terms of carriage of the respective courier partner (BlueDart, Trackon, Delhivery, DTDC, or FedEx). Key liability limits applicable through our courier partners are as follows:
- BlueDart domestic shipments:
- liability is limited to the lower of ₹5,000 or the actual loss or damage sustained, for uninsured shipments.
- Delhivery shipments:
- liability is governed by Delhivery's standard terms. Shipments above ₹25,000 in declared value must be covered under Delhivery Protect.
- International shipments (FedEx / BlueDart International):
- liability is governed by the Montreal Convention or Warsaw Convention as applicable, or limited to US $20 per kg for air and US $10 per kg for road shipments.
FFGL shall not be liable in any event for consequential, indirect, or special damages — including loss of income, loss of market, or loss of profits — howsoever arising. FFGL's own direct liability to the Shipper for any services it provides shall not exceed the value of the freight charges paid by the Shipper for the specific shipment in dispute.
FFGL is not liable for delays, loss, or damage arising from: acts of God or force majeure; strikes, riots, or civil disturbance; acts or omissions of the Shipper or Consignee; compliance with government or customs inspection; or any cause beyond FFGL's reasonable control.
Insurance
All shipments are carried at the Shipper's risk unless the Shipper has arranged insurance. FFGL can, upon request, facilitate insurance coverage through our courier partners for the declared value of goods against loss or physical damage. Insurance arranged through courier partners (Freight on Value / FOV) is subject to the respective courier's insurance terms and does not cover indirect loss, delayed delivery, or consequential damages. The Shipper is responsible for ensuring adequate insurance is in place for high-value or sensitive cargo.
Claims for Loss or Damage
Any claim for loss, damage, or shortage must be:
- Reported in writing to FFGL within 48 hours of delivery (for damage) or within 30 days of the shipment acceptance date (for loss or non-delivery)
- Supported by the original waybill, delivery proof, photographs of damage (where applicable), and invoice for the declared value of goods
- No claim will be entertained after 30 days from the date of shipment acceptance
- No claim will be processed while outstanding freight charges remain unpaid
Claims are processed in coordination with the relevant courier partner and their insurers. FFGL will assist in facilitating the claim process but is not the final adjudicating authority on claim settlement.
Cold Chain Specific Terms
For temperature-controlled logistics (pharmaceuticals, dairy, food, chemicals, and similar sensitive cargo):
- The Shipper is responsible for pre-cooling or pre-conditioning goods to the required temperature before handover
- The Shipper must declare temperature requirements, regulatory certifications, and any handling specifications at the time of booking
- FFGL is responsible for maintaining the cold chain from the point of pickup to handover to the outstation courier partner; the partner network is responsible for temperature integrity during onward transit
- FFGL is not liable for temperature excursions caused by the Shipper's failure to pre-condition goods, packaging failure, or delays caused by customs or regulatory authorities
